What’s On Offer

As you can see, Bloke Bingo is pretty good all round with the exception of sports and poker.  The chat is friendly, has a good number of blokes and is always giving away free money to play with.  The jackpots at Bloke Bingo are pretty huge with an all game total often exceeding 2 million pounds! <insert Dr Evil pose and laugh>.  There are oodles of slots to play on which you can do either standalone or in the bingo interface, chat and play!  The community is great at Bloke Bingo not only in bingo rooms but they also have Bloke Games and a Bloke Blog too where you can get cheap games and moan about stuff respectively.

What’s On Offer

We were surprised by the amount of decent promotions at Totesport Bingo, they have a nice £10 sign up bonus with an even nicer 200% deposit bonus up to £200!  The current Champions League promotion is a good indication that Totesport are aiming this site at men too so you should keep your eye out for a new manly promotion when this one ends.  To give you a good idea the prize for winning the league is £1000 and with lots of free £25 on offer.  Even the current shopping promotion could be useful, how many of us would like to buy some bigger clothes for our expanding waistlines?

Finally a none Virtue Fusion site.  Totebet Bingo is on the Playtech platform which is less used in this industry, especially in the UK.  US sites see a lot of Playtech sites and for that reason you would not be surprised that  it plays more like a US site.   So not great in that respect.  Notwithstanding that the software seems stable and is pretty responsive, the chat was pretty good and the colours are not very girly at all.

Totesport Bingo is not a bad bingo site and the really good promotions pretty much make up the mediocre bingo software.  The horse aspect does seem a little strange, yes we know its grown up from a horse racing betting site but still!  Horses? Balls? Microphones?  A bit silly!  The sports betting side of things is also a little bare and there are some better sites out there for this but the casino is very good.

There is nothing free on Sky Bingo which puts it at a huge disadvantage over most other bingo sites out there.  There is no free money (becoming rare nowadays) and not even one type of deposit or redeposit bonus.  It’s a shame really, no incentive at all.  There is the (usual) BOGOF bingo and not so usual Buy One get Two Free bingo which is a nice surprise.  Sky Bingo have a few other promotions going on but none would appeal to men so it’s pointless mentioning them here, sigh…

Sky Bet is becoming more and more popular (who doesn’t have Sky!), most people have heard of it or seen it advertised on one of Sky’s many TV channels.  You can even place bets via your TV which we think is pushing it a little too far   They have betting on the  Strictly Come Dancing Winner and normal stuff like Formula 1 and the Premiership.  Sky Poker is pretty neat with you being able to take part in live TV tournaments albeit on Sky’s who knows how much watched own TV channel.  One interesting thing about the Sky Poker client is that you don’t need to download it meaning you can play at work or on holiday!  It all loads in the browser which isn’t normal in the poker circles but possibly quite welcome.  Sky Vegas is interesting with dozens of slots and table games to take your fancy and up to 15% cash-back on bets which you can’t complain about.

Sky Bingo seemed a lot better when we started this review than we have now come to conclude.  Upon using the site and looking more closely at what’s on offer in terms of sports, casino, games and bingo we have found out that the site isn’t very good at all, especially for the bingo playing man.  The bingo site is so in your face pink its hard to even be on there for more than a few seconds.  The sports site isn’t much better due to a not so good interface and the only saving grace being the in-browser poker and decent amount of casino games.

No free money?  What is going on here chaps?  It does seem bet365 are shooting themselves in the foot with this one, even a free quid would enable you to give the site a spin.  Maybe they are relying on us blokes that actually use bet365 already (it offers some good odds) and think they might want a try a bit of their extra cash on the bingo… Hmmm maybe not.  we suggest you do though as there is a decent 200% deposit bonus and a few nice promotions like BOGOF, Bingohead race, free bingo and penny bingo.

Virtue Fusion yet again!  This software provider sure does get around and it certainly must be easy to tie into these multi-site brands.  Of course it’s a very good and solid bingo platform and as such we can find no problems with the bingo on bet365.  The colours are obviously none-girly so there should be no problems if any of your mates see you playing.  The Virtue Fusion chat interface is pretty good, a bit like MSN so is easy to use.  Anyone that like us can remember back into the mIRC days know what we are missing out on here!

bet365 pushes most of the right buttons when it comes to making men happy.    There are a few downsides however and the primary one (for us anyway) is speed.  The websites can be incredibly slow to load, sometimes not at all.  Certainly not what you want when playing any game online.  Even if its just the FAQ page not loading it is still very frustrating.  The focus of bet365 is not really on the bingo, it’s just an afterthought to make a bit of extra cash, you can tell this right away by comparing the bingo mini site to the others.  They just need to focus a bit and this will be a true winner!

Virtue Fusion… A solid bingo platform which most everyone uses it seems!  We can’t really say anything against this apart from maybe the colour scheme which is a bit too strong in a not so good way we think.  Generally though the bingo is good, the chat is active and well moderated and everything runs smoothly.  Kinda what you would expect from a site as well known as Ladbrokes.

Ladbrokes is THE UK bookies, there is no debating this of course BUT why does their website look like it was conjured up in the .com revolution?  C’mon Ladbrokes, lets see what we can do to cater for the younger player, they are your future.  Their sports betting is of course very comprehensive with random things like betting on Nathans Hot Dog Contest 2010 or more normal 2:10 from Goodwood.  It still look a bit of fashioned though the poker, casino and games do make up for a little being a bit more exciting but still “something” missing.  We just can’t put our fingers on it!  The $1000 free in the Poker and £100 free in the Casino does go a little way to mollifying the harshness of this review though!

We wanted to love Ladbrokes but alas we just could not.  It’s too old fashioned and doesn’t offer enough to warrant a decent award from us.  Of course there is sport, poker, casino, games and bingo on offer to name but a few but there are quite a few other websites out there that offer that in a better way (see the left menu!).  It seems Ladbrokes are happy where they are and we must admit if we earned that much we would probably be quite happy to and adverse to change.  That doesn’t, however, sway our view   Ladbrokes Bingo is just dead inside, poor thing…
